When I first walked in this class I was really nervous because I had never used a camera. I also had no clue how they worked or how Photoshop worked. I was really excited though because I wanted to learn how to do all that. However when we started our first project with the "popart" I got the hang of it. When we first got cameras I had no clue on what I was doing. You showed us how to work it and change the settings all around but I still was so confused and I had no clue how to do it for like two weeks. I thought it was really hard to do all the stuff to make a photo look nice. I finally learned how to us auto and it did all that for me. It soon got easier and easier and I got the hang of it. When I first got into photoshop I was very overwhelmed because there was lot of tools and specific ways that you had to do stuff. However when we got into it and started the project I got to understand it. Once we started using specific tools I got to learn how to use them and it got really easy. First Photo A later photo showed that I got the hang of it. This is an example of a photoshop (pano)

For this We needed to describe a word in pictures and then also write out what the word is about. I picked the words Majestic and Brave. I picked these photos to show who is brave and bring a magic sense into the photo thats word is majestic. Overall I thought this was easy but I could not get the photos to blend more.
In this I tried to take photos of still life. This weekend we set up our Christmas stuff at my Grandads house so I took photos of some stuff. 1/60 shutter speed, f/3.5, ISO 800 I learned how to take photos of things that are still and how to get a good photo. You need the lights to be right and the surroundings good.
for this we needed to make photos that were puns like couch potato so for that you would put a potato on a coach. On this I make a watermelon, seahorse, and a sandwich. I learned how to put photos together and how to make a background have color. I also learned how to make the frames the size I wanted and then I had to put them all in one place so I make a larger canvas to fit them all.
For this assignment we had to stake the layers and then edit all the photos into one so that we showed up more then once in the photo. For my first one I asked Lolli to stand around the hornet hub in different places, and for the second one I used myself and setting a timer to run and get in place. I thought it was really easy to go out and get photos. However I had some trouble getting all my photos to stack up in the layers. and then I had a hard time cutting everything out so that it took up the less space.
In this assignment I went out and took photos of black and white. The hardest part was getting a good frame and getting good depth of field. Black and white photos are an easy way to make a photo look nice and professional. edited Not edited 1/15 shutter speed at f/4.0 and ISO 400 I learned how to make a photo into black and white by going to image, adjustments, and then going o black and white. I also learned about how to frame a photo and to get the most out of it.
In this assignment we needed to take 2 photos one in the studio and one out side trying to us a bounce card to reflect the light. We were unable to get good light so we tried our best. I thought over all this was an easy assignment. However it was hard to get time to get into the studio and it was hard to get good light to take a photo outside of the studio. In this we learned about how to get a white boarder and how to get good light for a photo.
In this assignment I wanted to take photos of food. For this week I got some ice cream and fruit and put them in a bowl to make a photo that has a clear subject. I tried to get up close to the ice cream to get the texture. This is before editing. This is after and it has a shutter speed of 1/160 and a f/3.5 and a 1600 ISO Over all I though this was an easy week. I thought it was easy to get the food and know what I wanted to take photos of. I found it harder to get the clear colors of the photo and to get the light to be just right so that you could see the subject. I also could could not get the background to be just the bowl without being really close.
In this assignment we had to choose a few photoshop projects to work on. I chose 3 that were mild in hardness. I made this one black and white and then used the history brush to make the orange juice yellow again. http://www.digital-photography-school.com/mono-with-a-dash-of-colour-photoshop-cs2-tutorial http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/photo-blend/ http://www.photoshopstar.com/photo-effects/how-to-create-mental-sphere/ For This one I made 3 photos using layers and brushes to get a photo that looks like it coming out of the screen, one were a person in doing yoga in a bubble, and one were smaller photos made up the big photo. Over all I thought this was a easy assignment because they gave me the steps.
For this week I decided to take photos of people. For these photos I set my camera to portrait so that I could get a clear photo of a person up close. I had my sister stand in The park while I took photos of her. This Is the Original Photo without photoshop on it. This is the photo after I got ride of my dog in the background. 1/60, f1/35, ISO 100 In this assignment I learned how to us a few new settings on the camera. I found it had to get a good still photo. I also was using flash on some photos to get a clear subject but that made the subject blink and look not good. I corrected that and we were able to get good photos. Overall I liked this week.
